$1,475,386 GRANTED TO LOCAL AGENCIES IN THE FOURTH
QUARTER FROM THE FORT WAYNE COMMUNITY FOUNDATION
The Board of Directors of
the Fort Wayne Community Foundation met on November 12, 2002. Grants awarded for the fourth
quarter total $1,475,386. Selected grants are listed
below.
Grants awarded from the Community Grantmaking
Fund include:

African/African-American Museum/Historical
Society: $8,120 for general operating support

Allen County Local Education Fund: $10,000 for
grant writing services

Allen County SPCA: $10,000 for general
operating support

Arthur J. Blaising Community Center, Inc.:
$10,000 for the Community Based Services Program Fort Wayne
Women’s Bureau: $10,000 for general operating support

Fort Wayne Neighborhood Housing Partnership:
two grants awarded - $25,000 for the Gold Star Program and $5,000 for
start-up administrative support.

Community Action of Northeast Indiana Head
Start: $50,000 for the Hanna-Creighton Facility

Catholic Charities Diocese of Fort Wayne-South
Bend: $43,375 for accounting software, training, and upgraded phone
system

First Steps of Allen County, Inc.: $19,609 for upgraded computer
equipment
Grants awarded from the Clarke Endowment Fund
include:

$34,072 for program restructuring

Community Cupboard Expansion program
