The Board of Directors of the Fort Wayne Community Foundation met on February 6, 2003.  Grants awarded for the first quarter total $611,513.  Selected grants are listed below.

Grants awarded from the Community Grantmaking Fund include:

American Red Cross of Northeast Indiana: $12,240.25 for technology upgrades  
Friends of the Lincoln Museum:
$30,313.94 for interactive computers and projectors
Heartland Chamber Chorale, Inc.:
$15,000 for developing organizational capacity
Rainbow Community Organization dba Project Renew:
$13,000 for computer equipment

             Grants awarded from the Clarke Endowment Fund includes:

AWS: $8,000 for the Music Therapy program
Allen County Christmas Bureau:
$10,000 for Allen County families served at Christmastime
Arts United/The Arts Plaza Task Force:
$50,000 for the Arts Plaza program
Early Childhood Alliance-The Child Care & Early Education Partnership:
$15,000 for the paths to QUALITY program
Homebound Meals, Inc.:
$3,000 to deliver hot meals to homebound clients
IPFW:
$9,790.20 for the Summer Bridge program
Matthew 25 Health & Dental Clinic:
$4,000 for the IPFW Dental Hygiene Services program
National League of Cuban-American Community based Centers dba Educational Opportunity Center:
$25,000 for building expansion
One Church-One Offender, Inc.:
$10,000 for agency support

             Grants awarded from the Restricted Opportunities Fund include:

Allen County Council on Aging: $2,500 for the HomeChore program
Cedars HOPE, Inc.:
$2,500 for programs serving women with mental illness issues
Community Transportation Network:
$2,500 for transit programs serving people of Allen County
League for the Blind & Disabled:
$2,500 for support of programs serving people with disabilities
Matthew 25 Health & Dental Clinic:
$3,769.00 to serve clients with disabilities 

            Grants awarded from the Knight Foundation Fund include:

 Interfaith Hospitality Network: $2,356 to assist with financial management
