FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE GRANTS OF $260,236 TO LOCAL AGENCIES IN THE FOURTH QUARTER FROM THE PAUL CLARKE FOUNDATION At their November 21, 2002, meeting, the Board of Directors of The Paul Clarke Foundation approved 10 grants totaling $260,236. A grant of $55,470 was made to One
Church One Offender, Inc. for Project P.A.S.S. The project challenges the
existing pattern of rehabilitating non-violent offenders in our community.
The program is designed to encourage positive behavior and provide an
environment conducive to the growth of self-esteem, independence, and
hopefulness in the offender.
In two years the program has experienced a 92% success rate and is
being heralded in communities across the nation as a viable alternative to
incarceration. Additional

in 1992 to manage a major gift from Paul Clarke, who served as the Fort
Wayne Community Foundation’s Executive Director from 1972-1984. Funds from
the Clarke Foundation are to help disadvantaged youth and their families,
with a primary focus on the inner-city of Fort Wayne. Assets of the Clarke
Foundation currently total more than $12,000,000.
