GRANTS OF $260,236 TO LOCAL AGENCIES IN THE FOURTH QUARTER FROM THE PAUL CLARKE FOUNDATION

At their November 21, 2002, meeting, the Board of Directors of The Paul Clarke Foundation approved 10 grants totaling $260,236.

A grant of $55,470 was made to One Church One Offender, Inc. for Project P.A.S.S.  The project challenges the existing pattern of rehabilitating non-violent offenders in our community. The program is designed to encourage positive behavior and provide an environment conducive to the growth of self-esteem, independence, and hopefulness in the offender.  In two years the program has experienced a 92% success rate and is being heralded in communities across the nation as a viable alternative to incarceration.

Additional Paul Clarke Foundation grants awarded include:

  • Arthur J. Blaising Community Center, Inc.: $13,000 for the Children & Youth Services Program.
  • Boys & Girls Clubs of Fort Wayne, Inc.: $13,000 for Go Team! Sports, Fitness & Recreation Program.
