The following funds do not have a separate grant application process. Applications to the Community Grantmaking Fund and the Clarke Endowment Fund are automatically considered for fulfillment from these very special funds.

Business Education Fund

The Business Education Field of Interest Fund is a restricted endowment for the support of charitable programs and activities in the field of business education that benefit people in Allen County and its six contiguous counties in the State of Indiana. The fund was created in 1988 using the proceeds from the sale of a local credit bureau.

Children’s Learning and Development Fund
This fund was established after the Learning and Development Center, which specialized in treating children with communication and developmental disabilities, ceased operations. Residual funds from the center's agency endowment fund created this field of interest fund benefiting children with special needs, whatever their physical or developmental disability.

Fort Wayne Woman’s Club Fund
This fund was created by a gift from the Fort Wayne Woman's Club which was dissolved in 2006 after 81 years. The club began a decade after women began voting, offering members the opportunity to plan a variety of educational, cultural, and philanthropic activities. At one time, the club had 1,000 members and a waiting list, attracting renowned speakers such as author Carol Sandburg, movie director Cecil B. DeMille, and actress Olivia de Havilland. Proceeds from the club closing established this fund benefiting education and the arts.

Joyce Schlatter Fund
A Fort Wayne native since the age of three, Joyce Schlatter began her work with the Community Foundation as a volunteer in the late 1970s out of a commitment to social causes. As the Community Foundation’s first grant investigator, she evaluated all grant requests and proposals, making recommendations to the Community Foundation Board of Directors.

The Journal Gazette named Mrs. Schlatter the newspaper’s 1992 Citizen of the Year, citing her as “one of Fort Wayne’s quiet, but forceful, crusaders.” The Joyce Schlatter Fund was established in 2003 with a generous gift from Mrs. Schlatter’s estate.

Lakeside Elder Project Endowment Fund
The Lakeside Elder Project was formed in 1978 to provide intellectual and educational opportunities for people 60 years of age and older. The project dissolved in 2001 when the agency's board decided to establish the Lakeside Elder Project Endowment Fund benefiting the elderly.

Opportunities Fund for Handicapped People
The Opportunities Fund is a restricted endowment for the benefit of people with mental and physical disabilities in the greater Fort Wayne area. The fund was created in 1990 by Opportunities Inc., a nonprofit organization that employed and trained persons with disabilities at its Fillmore Street manufacturing plant until 1985. At that time, the organization sold its plant to Anthony Services, and started using income from its assets for distributions to agencies serving handicapped people. In 1990, the agency ceased operations and established the Opportunities Fund.

Rothberg Logan & Warsco Fund
The Rothberg Logan & Warsco Fund is an unrestricted endowment for the benefit of nonprofit organizations in the greater Fort Wayne area.
