The Community Foundation of Greater Fort Wayne is proud to help hundreds of area students — from elementary through graduate level — fund their educational dreams. In 2007, the Community Foundation awarded approximately 200 scholarships ranging from $250 to $30,000 per year. Scholarships totaling approximately
$1.2 million were awarded to students in 2007, including Lilly Scholar funds managed, but not held by the Community Foundation.

Scholarship application deadlines vary from one school to another. When considering an application for a scholarship, it's best to start the process at the beginning of the school year. In general the deadlines are from January to May. Check with your school for the exact deadlines. If you cannot obtain the application information from the contact source listed, call Community Foundation of Greater Fort Wayne at 260-426-4083.

Or Consider a Scholarship Gift

The above scholarship programs, administered by the Community Foundation of Greater Fort Wayne, have been established by concerned individuals from our county. Like you, they have recognized the community's need for an educated work force, and that the costs of education prohibit many deserving students from fulfilling their educational dreams. By establishing the scholarship funds, these donors have taken the first step in assuring that students have an opportunity for education at all levels.

The legacy these contributors have created is a tribute to them and supports the Community Foundation's belief that our community's future depends upon educating our youth and returning adult students.

As you know, education costs continue to rise, making these scholarship funds vital to the community's educational goals. The only way these funds can grow to provide more scholarships or increase the grant amount of existing scholarships is investment growth or new money being added.

Please take a moment to review the scholarships we manage and consider a donation. Any sum, large or small, given to any of these scholarship funds will be greatly appreciated. And, of course, your gift is tax deductible. Call Beth Regedanz, Chief Advancement Officer, at
